I stayed at Pete’s Lake campground for 13 days and I loved it! The sites are roomy and with trees and bushes growing around they have a sense of privacy. The lake has a great beach and swim area. The hosts, Sara and Derrick, are great! They are both friendly and helpful. They work hard at keeping the campgrounds clean and inviting. The bathrooms are very clean and do not smell. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and plan on visiting the campground again!

The campground is clean and well maintained, quiet and beautiful! The camp hosts are friendly and very helpful. Our family has stayed here every summer for several years and plan day trips to Pictured Rocks, Marquette and several waterfall hikes within short distances, very conveniently located.

One night someone was shooting off very loud fireworks in the campground at midnight. The roads could also use a repaving. Great Campground and lake. JetSki‘s and motorboats tie up right next to the swimming area.

Campsite was clean, raked and pretty level for our roof top tent.
The swimming area was a nice way to relax after a long day of hiking.
The assistance we received from the camp chaperones was great. They supplied us with free firewood and directions to a few places.
We will be camping here again with the whole family.

Could be the best campsite I ever booked. Had a beautiful little private sandy beach on the lake, and the campsite was large and very private. Definitely will be back!

From Munising, Michigan, go approximately 3 miles east on State Route 28 to Highway 13 at Wetmore. Travel south on Highway 13 about 10 miles to Forest Service Road 2173. Turn left and drive about a half-mile to the road to Petes Lake Campground.
Pete's Lake Campground is accessible via State Route 28, approximately 3 miles west of Highway 13, which provides further access to the area.

- Guests are not allowed to switch sites upon arrival.
- Reserved sites are held until noon the day after arrival; if not occupied by then, the reservation is forfeited.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Safety & rules
- Swim at the beach at your own risk as there is no lifeguard on duty.
Vehicles & parking
- Off-road vehicles are not allowed in the campground.
- Each site allows one RV with a tow vehicle or one vehicle per tent site, with an extra vehicle allowed for $8 per night.
Fires & fuel
- Only use dead and downed firewood for campfires.
Pets
- A maximum of two pets are allowed per site.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation modifications are not allowed once your reservation has started.
- Refund requests incur a $10 processing fee and the non-refundable reservation fee will not be returned.
Wildlife & food storage
- Do not move firewood from outside the area to prevent the spread of pests; obtain firewood locally.
