We stayed here one night. It's a nice area. The campground is very very rustic.

Nice clean campground with plenty of space in-between sites. However the noise pollution from generators constantly running all day long was very annoying seeing as this is a rustic or what I thought was a rustic campground. 6am in the morning and generators are started up only to be turned off at 10pm at night ruins the whole outdoor adventure. Nothing like sitting down by your campfire to relax and listen to the woods only to have a generator get fired up and ruin the whole atmosphere. I feel with today's technology you should be able to avoid this. If not for noise pollution I would give this campground 5 stars

Reserved Site 9 for 1 night. The large blacktop sites are perfect at Monument Campground. Fire pit, picnic table, grill, all set up at the right distance from the camper with lots of greenspace between sites. The site was raked, no debris from the previous campers and the firepit was not filled with ash. It was the most peaceful experience we've had camping that we booked a second night. I can't wait to go back! Our State Park Rangers could learn a lot by visiting Monument Campground. The USDA has a high standard and really caters to the campers. Thank you so much!

The campground is nice and very well maintained. Lots of shade. HOWEVER our trip was cut short when a raccoon ripped into our tent in the middle of the night despite attempts to scare it off.
