What Guests Are Saying
Lake Michigan at St. Ignace offers a beautiful camping experience with stunning beach access and well-maintained facilities. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts and clean restrooms, along with spectacular sunset views. Fabulous site with a private path to sandy Lake Michigan beaches. Only drawback is the proximity of Highway 2, but that was manageable.

Beautiful campground, great location. There is road noise but you don't notice it when you're on the beach. Camp hosts very friendly and helpful.

Great campground for a short stay. Sites are set among trees, with privacy between sites. Those along the lakeshore provide direct access to a private beach. Yes, there is road noise, but it isn’t bothersome for a short stay because the campground itself is so nice. I would happily stay here again.

Nice campsites between a hill next to Rte 2 and a dune next to Lake Michigan. Everything was great except the fire rings are ridiculous. About 3. Ft high with no vent holes. So even though a fire would have been nice. I didn’t bother since we wouldn’t have been able to feel any heat or see much of the fire. I do understand the need to prevent wildfires and that a very few people would build too large of a fire in a shorter ring.

Just a bit short of excellent probably because I was in a hurry to get to Lake Superior in the Yooper. Came in during the night, explored a bit in the morning and left, but let me tell you site 015 is incredible. I could stay there a week.

We had gone through this campground several times while passing through the area over the years. The opportunity arose to get a spot for a night. We had some beautiful weather while we stayed. I just wish US2 was about a 1/2 mile away due to traffic noises..

Love this place! Visited the campground 27 years ago during our trip around Lake Superior and to my memory it is still the gem we remember. We will soon return before another two decades pass!

Nice campground directly on Lake Michigan. Campground Hosts are great and keep the camp and outhouses spic & span! Thank you! The only drawback is traffic noise from US2.
