We had a nice stay at Cadotte lake. The boat launch, beach, bathrooms, and campsites were well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The campground is next to a beautiful lake deep in the woods. However, there had been so much rain, we had a bit of misery tent camping. Our main problem was our campsite, #8, was not as elevated as the others so it was full of huge puddles and mud. Also, the wetness made the site full of bugs. Most of our problems were not the fault of the campground. I would just stay away from site #8 if it’s been rainy. I would definitely go back.

Vault toilets, very clean and supplied with hand sanitizer. Camp host was excellent, delivered firewood to campsite. Fire pit had a couple inches of water from rain but worked around it. Verizon cell service pretty much nonexistent.

Planned a trip with my wife and disabled children based on the description stating their was a playground. No playground was at the campground. I asked the host and they said there is no playground. I brought up the website and it is listed in the description. I had two very unhappy children because what was promised wasn't there. The service we came for was not there and has never been there. We left early because we were all pretty upset. After multiple emails to recreation.gov about it, I have not heard back from them with anything substantial. They have emailed me back asking for more information I've already provided multiple times. Dissatisfied with the lack of service provided and the lack of any follow-up. I recommend avoiding reservations through recreation.gov after this experience. Thanks, Desten

Nice beach area, good hiking close. Campgrounds were quiet and clean. Wife said cleanest bathrooms she's ever seen.

What a beautiful campground. Lots of privacy and space in each site. We went for two days and left feeling so relaxed.
The grounds were very well kept, toilets were very clean and the host was nice. The beach was also super clean with crystal clear waters. It was lovely to have a quiet beach to relax on in early July. We'll definitely consider coming back. :)
I would caution others on two points. There is a nearby train track that comes through at about 10 p.m. and again sometime around 3 a.m. blowing it's horn. The other is I did get swimmer's itch from the lake. Although neither of these points would stop us from going back - but it's good to know upfront. :)

This was the best maintained campground we have been to! The vault toilets were immaculate - every day. The beach was raked smooth every morning. All the sites were neatly manicured. Nothing was overgrown. The road was smooth and firm with no potholes.
