Our first time staying here and we discovered every site was beautiful! The sites were spaced nicely for privacy, as were the the bathrooms also nicely spaced for accessability. And the bathrooms and grounds were so clean! We were impressed with the campground and while there was only 1 hiking path to Stub Lake which was overgrown, hiking is plentiful in the area. You can also purchase day passes for the BWCA on site, of which Fall Lake is part of. Overnight passes need to be purchased elsewhere. Highly recommend campground, perhaps for older children. There is a nice beach and playground for the youngers, but would be a hike depending on campsite location.

The campsites were clean, well spaced and private, the bathrooms clean and the location was wonderful. The beach was clean and the water perfect. Snapping and painted turtles were everywhere along with birds like loons and merganser ducks.

We enjoyed paddling and biking from this campground. It’s fun that the lake is partially in the BW. Biking the Fernberg was fun, too. I wish there were some hiking trails right from the campground (other than Stub Lake).

Clean, hosts were great.
Just tell campers not to leave dogs alone in their camper - all they do is bark bark bark
