What Guests Are Saying
Ninemile Lake Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful setting with clean facilities and quiet sites, making it ideal for paddle boarding, fishing, and relaxing. Visitors appreciate the spacious campsites and scenic views, particularly those close to the water. However, some concerns were noted, including the lack of camp hosts, occasional noise from nearby logging, and issues with restroom supplies and cleanliness. Overall, it is a well-loved destination for campers seeking a serene outdoor experience.

This is a beautiful campground on a lovely, quiet lake. Our campsite had steps going right down to the lake so you could swim or fish right from the shore. The bottom is sandy gravel going out the first 6 ft, then you probably want to swim because it gets muddy. There was no camp host for some reason and no online map of the campground. There was no toilet paper in the outhouses for the first 24 hours we were there (Sunday) and no hand sanitizer at all. It seems that Minnesota State Parks may be better looked after but not sure if budget cuts are to blame. I hope they don't let this beautiful place go downhill. It's worth protecting

Be very aware! My dog picked up Blastomycosis in this campground. It is a nasty fungal infection of the line. Very expensive to treat. He required hospitalization and now 6 months of drugs. I love this campground and am so sad that this happened.

The bathroom ran out of toilet paper and there was no host or rangers there to add more. I was lucky to have some myself otherwise it would have been an uncomfortable experience. Bring some of your own toilet paper just in case.

This is an older campground where most sites are only suitable for tents or small RV's. I thought the 15 mi of gravel road to reach the campground would translate to a more remote location but there are many vacation homes in the area. Logging operation nearby meant some noise during the day. Campground road was full of big potholes. Older pit toilets were clean but were older with no hand sanitizer. Smelly dumpster was overflowing and eventually locked shut - glad our campsite wasn't close to it. Sites 17 and higher have nice lake access and views but there is no beach as mentioned in a prior review. Hiking trail was maintained and moderately difficult for about 1/2 mi but then the larger unmaintained portioned simply disappeared into hiking through a forest where portions had recently been logged. Generally, a beautiful area but we probably won't return to this campground.

Site was quiet and facilities were clean. Excellent scenery and courteous folks at the other sites. Bring your own firewood. Went middle of August during a cooler spell and the weather/bugs were wonderful. Go during the middle of the week to get a first come first serve site.

We had a great experience! Lake is nice for paddle boarding. Plan to loose cell service!

Campground was beautiful and quiet. Only 4 other campsites were in use when we were there. My only complaint is that the main garbage dumpster really needed to be emptied. Even though it is bear proof, it was really stinky and full.

What a nice quiet peaceful campground!! It was nice having lake
access for our kayaks. Bathrooms were nice and clean, but being it was a holiday weekend they ran out of toilet paper. Had grouse in our camp which was cool to watch. Will be back again!!

A very nice little lake and a quiet campground. Highly recommend visiting the Cramer Train Tunnel nearby and then pairing it with a beer at the Trestle Inn up the road, built out of an old trestle bridge! The trail around Benson Lake in George Manitou State Park is entirely boardwalk and very beautiful.
