About Trails End Campground

Trail's End Campground is located next to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) in a remote area of Superior National Forest in northern Minnesota. It is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy life, or get out on the water to canoe and fish. Berry picking and wildlife viewing are also great fun.

Trails End was absolutely amazing! We woke up to an incredible sunrise and pretty much had our own private beach. We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful campground with some sites on the lake. Others have wonderful views. Good access to canoeing north or into Seagull Lake and beyond.

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds in the entire state of Minnesota. Several sites overlook Gull & Seagull Lakes while others are nestled by the rapids that connect the two lakes. The outfitters that operate it do a nice job and are very friendly. I will definitely be staying here again!

The campsite was isolated. You could not see another campsite from ours. The view was stunning. We were there for the canoeing and fishing, there is no end to the possibilities at this location. Last year was our second year On site 17.

Staying at trails end is a yearly event for my familly. The camp sites are allways clean and you have many difrent views on each one. Last but not least Plan ahead town is 45 minutes away so check and double check to make sure you have what you need.

The campground is large with great access to the water for fishing, swimming or canoeing. Campground was clean.

Downside was choosing a site that was not terribly tent friendly even though it said it was. We spent one day walking around the campground and I made a list for a future trip to the campground of sites that are more tent friendly.

We’ll go again and see if choosing a better site improves our rating. We live in Grand Marais, so this would be a nice campground to be able to spend time with our kids.
