Pokegama campground is a beautiful setting. The sites are large. The free hot showers with plenty of water pressure were wonderful.
Bathrooms were modern and clean.
We will definitely be back.

Pokegama is a great CG overall, easy access, good roomy campsites, well maintained, great views, outstanding bath / restrooms, staffed local ranger station, very nice modern pavilion, close to a thriving town and shopping, good TV / cell / internet reception, commons area move night, wow nice ! ,,,.

The CG has its location limitations, narrow CG between the river and a busy highway and active train track, some never ending noise from both but not terribly intrusive.

For the price, you can't go wrong. There's a great view of the river, few mosquitoes, and quiet people. You can see your beighbors but they are a respectful distance away. You can hear the noisier vehicles go by on the nearby highway but that was ignorable. There was also a train that went by around 11pm. Again, the whistle was just once and that was it. I would go back again.

We found the grocery store to be less expensive for wood. They don't provide wifi but our T-mobile phone hotspot worked just fine for my husband to work online all day.

It's a nice clean location that also has a dumping station right there along with drinking water to fill your tank once you arrive.
