Very nice location and well maintained. The dump station even had the hoses set up. Sites that back up to the river all had great views. Some noise road but it didn’t bother us

Beautiful campground and well kept. We had a camp site right on the river. The site was gravel and very level with a good amount of space for our 25 ft. motor home. The price was good and there was no daily usage fee that had to be paid in other Minnesota State Parks. The reservation had to be made online and there aren't very many camp sites available. We were lucky to camp there.

Loved the park. We pulled in and occupied our site. However, there was never any host or ranger around. There were some workers here and there but no one who could have helped with a reservation question or that type of thing. That isn't exclusive to this campgrounds. Every campgrounds we have stayed at in MN has had ghosts instead of Hosts. It's a nice area and park for sure. Be prepared though, even though MN has 10,000 lakes, each park acts as though they have the only one.

Beautiful spot along the Mississippi headwaters. Big sites with trees. Bring mosquito repellent.
