What Guests Are Saying
Black Beach Campground is praised for its excellent location, with easy access to Agate and Black beaches, as well as nearby attractions like Gooseberry Falls. The sites offer decent space with full hookups, and the campground is well-maintained with clean facilities. However, some visitors have noted issues with the ATV trail passing through, limited shade, and difficulty reaching the management for reservation changes.

All about location. Sites are average. Good space with full hook up. Short walk to Agate and Black beaches. A few playground items for kids. First time staying here and I would stay again.

Decent campground. Sucks the ATV trail goes right through. They are rude. No shade at campground. Decent size sites. Not coming back. Don’t like the atv trail

We stayed here before and enjoyed it. The bathroom facilities are nice, albeit not large enough for the campground they serve and often get backed up.
This time, we needed to alter our reservation weeks in advance and never received a response after emailing and leaving multiple voicemails. We ended up just having to make our reservation work, as they never seem to answer provided phone number or respond to emails.

Google Maps' directions for entering the campground are wrong. You need to turn onto Mensing Dr, not E. Lakeview! The E. Lakeview road goes through private property. The campground is terrific; our site is level and plenty long for our motorhome and tow car.

The campground's location is awesome! You can park your camper and then take trips to many attractions that are close to Silver Bay, for example Gooseberry Falls and Two Harbors. While the campsites are not on the lakefront, it is just a short walk to get to Black Beach which is beautiful. Go hunting for agates! The campground is well-maintained, the shower rooms are clean and easy to use. We will be back!
