Camp Hosts were very nice, that is the only positive comment for this trip. The campground used to look pristine, now sites are not being mowed. This made for an extreme amount of biting flies, mosquitos and ticks. Very disappointing as this used to be one of our favorite camping spots. Management please review your no mowing policy!
Campers may even consider donating gasoline for the mower if gas prices are the issue.

Only satellite toilets were available. I think if grass was cut more often the mosquito population would be less. Keeping the grass throughout the campground short is important. Also we are told not to bring wood to the park but no wood is available. Wood was available in the past, make it available again.
I was told the park was waiting for some paper to be signed to open the bathroom, does it take over a month to sign a paper????????!!

Tall grass between sites. These used to be mowed.

Camp hosts are great. The rest is iffy. Bathrooms are out of commission and have been for a year. Porta potties we're full and gross. Grass is up to your knees at camp sites, so mosquitos are thick. Signs are leaning. Managemenment lacks pride in the campground, which is in a beautiful location.

we were so disappointed this year with our visit, the place was not well taken care of at all. We watched the host mow one day just in circles around each campsite, the grass surrounding was so long and so many bugs. We have been going to this campground for years and have never seen it this bad. We will not be going back this year, hopefully it will improve for next year..

It is a beautiful campground. Lots of places to walk and enjoy nature. The swimming is great. The hostess and host were very nice.

Our experience at Stony Point this year was a disappointment unfortunately. The campsite itself is quite lovely with many sites right on the water but the upkeep of the facilities and grounds seems to be going downhill the last few years. If you have a tall rig, there are many low hanging branches that need to be trimmed. We love going to this campground as it is a wonderful location on the lake and hope that in the future things will improve.
