Blue Bluff Campground (Aberdeen Ms)

UPDATE: as we were leaving, my husband asked the attendants to mark us as an early departure so we could get a refund. Mrs. Shoemaker said “y’all may not like this campground but it’s the best around and you don’t have to come back!” The most rude and unprofessional experience we’ve had at a campground. Unbelievable.

IF YOU WANT A SWIMMING HOLE OUTSIDE YOUR CAMPER DOOR, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. This campground has potential to be great. However, we booked 2 campsites and upon arrival all but the gravel pad on the site was flooded. You could not step out of the camper without stepping in water. We spoke to the park host and requested to move sites. He told us they couldn’t do anything but if we wanted to book another site on the app and PAY FOR IT we could. We told them we were gonna have to go to a different campground and one of the park host stated” well leave then.” These spots should have never been available to book to begin with. We’ve camped at many places and have never been treated so poorly. We left and went to Town Creek Campground and had a great experience.

Very nice campground. Everyone there was very friendly. My kids loved the playground and the fishing. Definitely would camp here again.

Bath houses could have been cleaner but other than that we enjoyed ourselves.

Beautiful, well kept campground! Would recommend to anyone. Small town very close by with old beautiful homes. Great views of Tennessee River! Staff very friendly and helpful.😀

Great family place to visit

Beautiful views. Sites are large, paved and level. Staff is awesome. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, and other stores.

We stayed for two weeks at the campground. When we first arrived, spent half an hour picking up trash (empty plastic bottles and trash). Roads had been poorly patched with asphalt only filling part of the holes and drop off back to the road instead of smooth transition. Electric and water at the site worked with no issues. Bathhouse on the large loop that we stayed on was very dark inside, needed updated, and not very well maintained. On a walk around the road my husband went into the Men's side and found that the water in the shower was running, when he went to turn it off found that the handle was broken - we reported it to the Camp Host and three days later it had not been repaired. We reported it again to the Camp Host who said they had turned it in to the Park Ranger, but they have yet to show up. AT&T - 2 bars. Verizon hot spot was good. Close to town for laundry, groceries, etc.

This was our first time to stay here, but it will not be our last everything was great.

Very clean grounds with helpful and polite people running it. Thanks for making our time there so enjoyable. I will definitely be back

Have stayed at Blue Bluff multiple times now and really enjoy the setting on the lake/river....the presence of barges traveling up and down the river is unique and the old growth forest and trees around is a nice touch.....Park very clean and tidy with level sites and the Camp Host, Roxanne, was extra gracious and welcoming.....very very close to town to get supplies with anything you need if forgotten....highly recommend!
