Dub Patton Campground

Warning

General

Arkabutla Lake will be experiencing substantially lower water levels for an extended period of time. Long-term repairs to Arkbabutla Dam must be completed before water levels can return to normal. This affects boating access and water-based activities on the lake. Many boat ramps are currently closed with Hwy. 51 Landing being the only open ramp. Most day use and campground facilities remain open for public use. For more information, please contact the Arkabutla Lake Field Office at 662-562-6261 or 662-292-1992. We enjoyed Dub Patton, it is a great hidden resource that was underutilized during our stay (July 8th). At the time of our visit it was, however, very humid. Our site had water, a waste connection and power. We were one of only a few campers at the entire campground. The campground itself is well maintained and had good facilities.

Stayed here for a couple days. It was quiet and had clean well lit bathroom. Had an issue with me electric, but just switched sites and everything was fine. Great fishing at the dam. Disc Golf course was awesome and challenging. Didn't get a chance to hike due to rain, but there's a 5 miler available. Overall it was decent just wish camping spot were more spaced out. Literally no space in between the spots.

It was beautiful and we'll maintained. Our only problem was finding it. The campgrounds are not clearly labeled and we camped in the first one but found out the next morning that it was the wrong one.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very quiet and peaceful. The fishing was amazing! We walked on a trail that was really neat to. The only thing I really DIDNT like was the bathrooms and their upkeep. It was very dirty....and the showers stunk of old raw fish. Only ONE of the shower stalls even worked in our area and the rest were already being used as storage for a stove and a few hot water heaters from what I saw there....bathrooms could definitely use an upgrade or at least a really good cleaning. Other than that.... We had a great time there!!!

This campground was quiet and clean, rating it lower because there was poison ivy everywhere. Barely any cell service with Verizon.
