Beautiful site! Backed up to awesome lake. Very quiet. Enjoyed campfire each night and each morning brought breathtaking sunrise! Highly recommend for a getaway.

Very thankful for the gatekeeper as I arrived after dark and he helped me find my site and back in without hitting a tree or driving into the lake. The campsite was outstanding - beautiful views and plenty of privacy between sites. I wanted to see birds and both the campground and dam area, recommended by the gatekeeper, were great sites adding a Ruby Crowned Kinglet pair and a Pied-billed Grebe to my list. I was told a recent tornado had created havoc with the hiking trails so my adventures were confined to those areas already mentioned.
Getting to the the campground was challenging because it was dark and raining and my mapping software brought me in from the North where signage, unlike a south arrival, was minimal.

Gate staff very friendly. Park and site well maintained. Sites level and big rig friendly. Just stayed overnight so didn't enjoy the great views that we had.

Stayed 1 night while passing through. Had a nice pull thru site and I didn't even have to unhook from my 5th wheel. Will be staying there again on way back through.
