We have always enjoyed our annual stay at this beautiful park. Watching the waterway is very nice.
On the other hand, this year one of the male campground hosts was quite rude and unwelcoming.

Stayed 8 days and enjoyed every one of them! Bath house was always clean and staff was friendly. A group of us have been staying the Thanksgiving week at Lake Lowndes, but no more. This experience was much better and the sites are better maintained. Thanks so much!

We always love DeWayne Hayes park . The staff at check in were really nice. The park is always clean as are the bathhouses . The advantage to fall and winter camping you have a better view of the river from spots that usually are to thick with brush and trees to see . There’s good restaurants within about a 15 min drive . Hanks bar-b-q and Profitt’s porch are a couple . One thing we did notice was with a 5 day stay we only saw a park host in a golf cart once riding around . My wife noticed it first saying that before anytime we stayed there we would see the host many times a day riding around and talking to campers . It kind of made her feel a little safer seeing them riding around . Not that there’s any trouble but it’s what she noticed and felt .

Just spent one night on our way to Florida. Just a couple of miles off 45. Clean and very quiet park during our stay.

The host and park personnel were great, very friendly and knowledgeable. The bathrooms clean and the campsites spacious and very nice. I love this park and would have loved to give it 5 stars but the noise was horrendous . The AFB is close by and they do training exercises a few hours in the morning . There’s nothing to be done about that but the most annoying thing was boats with full throttle coming in from fishing at 11:00 and 12:00 at night just as you are getting to sleep makes it hard to enjoy the park. During the times between the planes and boats it was peaceful and quiet and we loved that. Maybe we will try it again someday.

The weather was perfect and so was this COE. This was our first stay at DeWayne Hayes but will not be our last. Sites are all paved and level. Our neighbors and the camping community here were great. We did not have any interaction with the host, but our site was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The baths house was in need of an update, but the host made sure it was clean every morning.
We had 3 bars on our phones through ATT and were able the receive 5 local TV channels with an antenna. This may have been our first time her but surely will not be our last.

Really a nice park to camp in. Bathrooms were a little dated but functioned fine. Was there for a MSU VS KY football game that was a night game so getting back into the park late at night was a bit sketchy. Feel like that should be addressed.

Campground could have been cleaner. Hosts had no control of campground. Speediing was really bad I would hate to see a child hit.
