We have been going to Dewayne Hayes for several years and we do not like the new way they do the reservations. Several sewer sites that were showing booked were empty all weekend. Then when we went to leave and dump our black tank the dump station was running over and blocked off. With the increase in cost they should be doing better, not worse. And blowing off the camp site after someone leaves at 7 am is for the birds. People are trying to sleep. If you can’t check in until 3:00 … why the hurry?

Great campground. Awesome park attendants. Level spot with a view of the river. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice concrete walking/biking trail thru the woods along the backwaters of the river. Saw numerous squirrels and deer while there. Can’t wait to return.

We stayed on site 84 during the week. It was very nice with plenty of separation from other sites. I had not paid attention to where sewer sites were because I didn’t think COE parks had sewer. If we go again I will pick a sewer site. Other than that it was a very nice stay. Bathhouses are adequate but not heated/cooled. That’s fine with me. Park was pretty well cared for and nicely arranged. I loved watching the different boats and barges pass by pretty close to shore. Overall great stay and easy set up. Had good cell signal too. 3 bars and LTE.

Campsite was spacious and clean. The facilities were well maintained. The staff, however, were unfriendly and overbearing. We will not be back to this campground.

I loved the location and the view of the water. I did not like that the gates close at 10 pm. I came to MS for my grandsons birthday. We had to leave the party early with my 80 yr old parents to make the gate before it closed. My parents were at the end of the campground and could not have walked they far late at night to their trailer. I also wish there was sewer on the sites or at least a place to dump your gray water. Other than that we loved the campground.
