There is no WiFi! Also don’t understand if you need to cancel your reservations why you can’t get raincheck! Good clean camp site! Are you allowed to have golf cart to use if needed to ride to bath house?

We had a great experience . We haven’t camped in almost 20 years.the camp ground was much like we remembered .everything has been maintained well. The flooding from last year has some of the end spots unusable still. And because of covid all the
Kids play equipment is closed as well as pavilion.
Arrival and checking in was easy. Site was clean and neat . Power and water worked with no problems. We were in a popup camper across from the bathhouse.the bathhouse was kept very clean all weekend . The only complaint with it was . The men’s handicapped shower needs a new spray hose and nozzle .it looks like they’ve attempted to patch it several times. But a simple replacement would be great and keep water from getting everywhere also.
The camp host we awesome we saw them often all
Weekend long riding bikes or golf cart through the park checking on things and speaking with guest.
One thing we did miss was being able to buy ice at the camp ground . It’s a pain having to leave and drive about 10 miles or so round trip just to get ice .all in all we had a great trip and for sure look forward to spending much more time at Dewayne Hayes Park again.

This used to be a really nice campground, but lately it seems to be really run down. The spray ground is full of mud, the weeds are overtaking the fishing docks and several campsites are closed due to electrical problems.
