Positive things about Dewayne Hayes and site 53: flat, well-maintained site. Nice paved pathway for kids to ride bikes on. That’s it.
Park host was rude. Not many riverfront sites with an actual view. Not very many sites with sewer hook up. They don’t open the gates until 8:00 am and close them at 10:00. Not good for early/late sporting events.

Picture of site not accurate. Tried to move to another site but received flack from the park host. Reserved another site on app and was out the money I spent on 86.

Really enjoy our stay. As this was our first camping tripping all the minuses were on us. The host were friendly and the park was greatt considering the covid restrictions. Will definitely come back!!!

I had to point out the recent bad review was when the campgrounds were being closed due to Covid-19 virus. I would guess that person was upset about the closing and blamed the staff for doing their jobs. I've always found the campground hosts to be very friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful campground and is a real pleasure to stay here.
