We have been here several times as a stopping point to Alabama and Florida. The spots are well spaced out and most of them are level. The bathrooms are clean, but would be nice if updated. Every time we go, we make sure to stop by Guys Place on Water at the marina. Amazing food and super friendly.

The park and people were amazing. Special shout out to Jackie for helping us on a Sunday with a dead battery.

This was a surprisingly nice campground! The sites and facilities are well maintained and the fall weather (visited in November) was perfect for camping with few bugs and moderate humidity. Ray at the check-in shack was extraordinarily helpful and had good recommendations for what to do in the area. The campsite was quiet with a nice view of the river and access to the water. We went fishing from kayaks and it was a great experience.
