I woke each morning to see the sunrise over the lake bed, since it's drained this time of the year. It was very beautiful as it is always. I went hiking each morning and throughout the day, enjoying the serenity of every moment. We have our reunion here and it's a great place, great washrooms , very clean, highly recommended.

From I-55, take the Grenada exit on highway 8 east through the
City of Grenada for approximately three miles then turn left on
Scenic Loop 333. Follow Scenic Loop 333 across the dam and
take the second road to the right at the North end of the Dam.
The campground is accessible from I-55 via Highway 8, approximately three miles east through the City of Grenada.
Elevation: 72 feet
5.4 mi drive to downtown Grenada (about 10 min)

General
- During winter months the water level in the reservoir is dropped more than 20 feet, to provide a storage area for spring rains and prevent flooding
- Fishing license can be purchased on Highway 8, near the campground
- There is a required boat ramp fee
