The "B" Loop is the best location for lake view, swimming, and bringing your boat to shore. The camp sites are well maintained and kept clean. The grass from the campsite to the swimming area is kept mowed regularly. The addition of 50 amp service and water at the campsites in "B" loop make your stay even better. The area is very secure as we always see county deputies drive through as well as camp hosts every day. The only question I have is the lack of mowing east of the swimming area going down to the boat and fishing area. Why isn't this area mowed as well as every where else? I would strongly recommend Bucksaw for a kid friendly, animal friendly, great camp area.

I’ve been coming to Bucksaw for the last 16 years because of the peacefulness while camping. Nature is everywhere and the other campers are so nice. After the year of the flood I feared the campgrounds would be overrun and just a complete mess due to the water. But much to my amazement they were not. The people who take care of the shower houses and bathrooms at the present time are by far the best Bucksaw has had in the last 15 years. They check these stations 3 to 4 times daily and frequently power wash them out. The camp host even comes around to let us know if storms are predicted. I love camping there and will continue to for a long time.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Drain all water from equipment and discard live bait before leaving the park to prevent the spread of zebra mussels.

- Buy firewood locally and burn it on-site to protect forests from pests.
