Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Despite the park being very busy those around us were courteous.

I’ve been coming to Bucksaw for the last 16 years because of the peacefulness while camping. Nature is everywhere and the other campers are so nice. After the year of the flood I feared the campgrounds would be overrun and just a complete mess due to the water. But much to my amazement they were not. The people who take care of the shower houses and bathrooms at the present time are by far the best Bucksaw has had in the last 15 years. They check these stations 3 to 4 times daily and frequently power wash them out. The camp host even comes around to let us know if storms are predicted. I love camping there and will continue to for a long time.

Loop B site 45 had 2 large honey locust trees that flanked the campsite. The thorns on these trees are big and sharp. They also cause uncomfortable wounds. A member of our party stepped on one that had fallen. They had shoes on and it went all the way through the shoe and into the foot.

When we arrived the park host suggested we upgrade our non-electric site to electric because they had available sites. Great idea. For $10 more we got a great site with good view of the lake. Very friendly service. Great park, the migrating geese were a bonus.
