What Guests Are Saying
Frank Russell campground is highly praised for its clean, spacious, and well-maintained sites, including level concrete pads with full hookups and ample room for privacy. Visitors appreciate the beautiful surroundings, well-kept trails, and facilities, making it a favorite for camping with horses and enjoying outdoor activities. While some noted issues like noise from neighboring sites and the need for more on-site staff, overall, guests express a strong desire to return and recommend the campground for a relaxing experience.

We liked the views, beautiful!! Our campsite had a pretty good slope to it, had to use many boards to level. Other than it was a very enjoyable trip - thanks!!

Very nice park, as are all the COEs we've visited. This time of year was perfect: cool days, cold nights, very small crowds. There were a few days where we had almost the entire park to ourselves. Loved it. The sites were paved and easy to get level. Lots of room between sites so no one felt too close. You could hear some traffic on the highway but you had to listen to hear it.
The archery range is excellent, and we aren't even archers! There is a nice walking trail throughout the archery area that had intermittent exercise stations.
The only area that could have been better was restroom maintenance. The season was waning and the camphosts were gone. The restroom only got service once per week. Toilet paper almost ran out a couple times. Cleaning was not thorough. There was leftovers on the toilet that were there for almost our entire visit. It was finally gone a day or so before we left. That was the only negative we observed. We HIGHLY recommend this park. We were there for two weeks in a van.

Everything was awesome except we didn’t realize the water would be shut off at the dump station. The camp hosts who came over from Indian Creek were awesome. They were very friendly and professional.

Quiet, clean, everyone friendly and respectful. Wish there was a WiFi option.

I was disappointed to find campers that did not have horses camped in the equestrian area.

It was a great time, beautiful area, great camping sites! Just wish there was a bathroom facility in the first set of campsites close. Otherwise it was great!

Campsites were clean and spacious, but there was only one bathroom which was very far from our campsite. On the map I was looking at it showed other smaller bathrooms on each loop of the campground, and all of those have been removed. The nearby archery range is really nice too.
