The hike-in tent site was overgrown and the trail leading to the site was no longer visible. The grass around the lamp holder was about two feet high and the grass around the picnic table was about a foot high. Poison ivy and ticks in the site too. The maintenance team abandoned this site. Sites 2 and 5 looked pretty good but some of the other hike-in sites were in similar states of abandonment.

Our stay was wonderful! The beach was awesome! Bathrooms were clean and well stocked! Showers were a little chilly but felt good after the humidity! Bugs were fairly mild mostly knats and ticks. Our site was very spacious and the neighbors were friendly! We definitely would stay again!

There was someone in the campsite that we had reserved for the date and dates we were to be there. According to records, no one was supposed to be there but us at that time. The lady at the check-in had put them there it would not make them move. We were giving an alternate camping spot that we did not want to be at but we had drove 100 mi so we took it. I think my wife and I at that time. The lady at the check-in had put them there it would not make them move. We were giving a alternate camping spot that we did not want to be at but we had drove 100 mi so we took it. I think my wife and I should be compensated for our reservation fee so that we can reserve the spot that we wanted. That we had reserved.

Campsite was well kept. Restroom facilities were clean. Will be going back! We camped in a RV and had family tent camp over the weekend and the site accommodated both easily.

DONT PARK IN THE GRASS OR GRAVEL. Be sure to have a small enough car to park on the blacktop and dont plan to bring a boat cause there in no room to it at the camp
