What Guests Are Saying

Sutton Bluff Recreation Area is praised for its great campground, especially for ATV enthusiasts, with direct access to trails and a beautiful natural setting. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the respectful behavior of fellow campers, despite some issues with facilities and the absence of a camp host. While there are concerns about maintenance and missing amenities like a wastewater dump, overall, the area remains a favored spot for camping and outdoor activities.

Fantastic campground for families. Large sites. We always reserve double lots 4 and 6 but they fill up quickly. I wish there were more large spots with electric. I love the ability to drive ATV/UTVs and people are all very cautious when driving through the campground. We had a problem with the hot water in the showers this visit so that was a downfall and the reason for the 4 stars. We use the showers instead of our camper because they are nice and roomy. Host is very nice and friendly. I love camping here.

Sutton Bluff is a just awesome!

Very family oriented, hugely spacious accommodations, and very clean (albeit older) bathrooms.

Steve (the concessionaire) has worked hard to make Sutton Bluff a place for everyone to enjoy.

Short walk to the river, hot showers, fruit bearing trees (persimmons and paw paws). A small town to stock up on supplies is close by.

I really hate writing this! It's going to get crowded now.

Did I mention the ice cream at Steve's place?

The host was so friendly. He even helped my husband set up. I didn't like the restrooms being so far away. It makes it kinda hard for someone with a disability in the middle of the night. Restrooms were very clean though. I only wish we had chosen a better weekend. We were rained on almost the entire time. Hard rain too! Water access was pretty good too. We had fun feeding the fish. Maybe being able.to get bait on the campground would be a good idea as well. Town is just kinda far off. Just an idea to maybe consider. We had a good time overall and I'm sure we'll be back in 2020
