Site 44 is a great site with a beautiful view. Unless you’re an early riser or a fisherman, don’t stay in 44 in a tent-we were there on the last nice Saturday of the season and the boat launch was noisy before dawn with reving diesel engines and fishermen screaming at each other.
Bathroom was clean. Showers were warm. Hosts were friendly.

I’m giving this 3 out of 5 for these reasons only. When we found this place it was beautiful and the grass was mowed so nicely. We booked our sites partly because of it. When we arrived the grass was way over grown, was uncomfortable to walk in, kids kept tripping, very difficult to pick up after pets too. We had 2 sites, 13 people and that was the biggest complaint. Bathrooms were very clean and welcoming but would be nice to have a few with toilets separate from showers as many times we could not use them because people showering for long periods of time. I’m living with cancer and decided this may be the last tent camping we do. We were in tents, not the self contained rigs. Might be upgrading to make bathroom time easier. Otherwise it was beautiful and we had an absolute amazing time. Very quiet when it needed to be and we loved watching all the boats launch for the fishing tournament. We will definitely be camping here again in the future but please keep the grass mowed. The over grown grass and lack of available bathrooms when needed is the only reason for my score. Otherwise it was just a perfect weekend camping with many who had never camped before.

A very peaceful campground. A nice shaded swimming beach, a boat dock, and a fishing pier. The grass needed to be cut, it was really long, but did not affect our weekend.

This campground is pretty run down with roads and sites in poor shape. We had power issues also with the power tripping and not giving clean power on two different sites we stayed in over 1 week. The area is beautiful with lots of shade trees just has not been maintained over the years.

One week before reservation I was notified that my site was not available so I had to reserve a different spot. When I got to campground my original spot was open. No one could explain why my reservation was canceled.
I was also asked to show my park pass, that i used for discount. Never been asked before…. but they didnt ask for my drivers license so not sure why camp host asked for my pass. Probably first year as camp hosts.
Bathrooms need a lot of work and need soap dispensers
