The sites were spacious and varied as far as terrain and foliage. Very nice staff at the kiosk. Sanitary blocks very clean and the shower water nice and hot! Two things we would rec'd to you: install dishwashing stations around the camp. Have recycling bins around the park. THX

Utilities were on then opposite side from normal. Therefore, couldn't hook up to sewer because our sewer connection was too short

We always enjoy Campbell Point campground but this time the condition of the campground was not up to par. Maybe it was due to it being late season but the grass had not been mowed in some time and the dock by the boat ramp was not on the bank. To access the dock, you had to wade through water. One thing we have noticed at many of the federal parks lately is the park hosts are not as involved as they once were. At several of the parks, Tuttle Creek in Kansas, Clinton Lake in Kansas, and here at Campbell Point, it used to be you were given a trash bag, mirror tag, campground map and the posts at each sight were marked with the reservation. Little, if any, of this is done now.

We were in site 25 and the smell was so bad we only stayed 2 nights out 8 nights. It appeared that the smell was coming from what looked to be above the ground sewage holding tanks for the marina. The grass needed mowing it was tall enough that it had gone to seed. The view was nice, but I cannot recommend this site due to the above stated.

It was a wonderful place to camp at. The site we was at were very close to bathrooms and the swim beach and the bathrooms were clean and they even had life jackets for adults and kids to use. The park attendant was very nice and helpful and overall my stay there was really nice. The marina was a nice place to go to as well they have a number of items in there that are there in case you forgot something at home including ice and the marina employees were nice as well. We will definitely be coming back should we ever head out that way again

I enjoyed my week at Campbell Point very much. I had car trouble during the week and the campground hosts were exceptionally helpful in giving me several phone numbers of auto service centers in the area. The only complaint that I had was the signs for the various campsites were not that easily located.
