What Guests Are Saying
Crabtree Cove is praised for its beautiful, clean surroundings, friendly staff, and well-maintained facilities, making it a great camping destination. Many reviewers appreciate the variety of campsites, which cater to different needs, and the peaceful atmosphere, especially during the week. However, there are concerns about shower pressure, uneven ground, and a lack of soap in public bathrooms that should be addressed for an improved experience.

We brought our 2 dogs to the campsite with us. When we arrived at the campsite around 2:00 pm, we leashed then up and tied the leashes to trees around our campsite while we set up our tent. Their leashes were tight enough to where they wouldn’t wonder into other camper’s sites. We took notice to other campers with dogs barking while they were being walked around the camp group loop. We later had campers coming right through our campsite, which made our dogs bark. While the park attendant was cleaning the bathrooms by our campsite, she came right up to us, and very rudely told my husband and I that we had to quiet down our dogs, or we will have complaints and be asked to leave the campground. This was at most an hour after arriving to the campsite and was not in the evening hours. Because the park attendant made us feel unwelcome with our dogs, we drove 40 minutes away just to kennel our dogs because we did not want to be kicked out. As soon as we arrived back to the campsite from the Kennel, the park attendant was standing outside the booth entrance. We rolled down our window and told her what campsite we were driving to. She did not say one word to us, just stared us down as we drove through. It was completely disheartening and an awful experience, especially for a campsite supposed to be “pet friendly”. We will not be back.
