What Guests Are Saying
Wade Lake is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with stunning scenery, clear water, and a family-friendly atmosphere. While the sites can be crowded and small, many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the recreational opportunities available, such as paddleboarding. Some campers noted issues with noise from construction and nearby sites, yet overall, it remains a popular destination for nature lovers seeking a pleasant getaway.

Beautiful lake! Nice pull through site. A tent spot next to the picnic table. Enough parking for 2 cars, we didn’t have a camper. Close to bathroom. No cell service in campground some spotty service down at the boat dock.

Lake is beautiful! Site’s parking is pretty small, luckily we only had 1 car, no camper. Tent spot is close to next site’s picnic table area. Nice shade.

Camp ground was nice, but spot 24 sucked. Entry to spot is facing the wrong way on a one way narrow road. Very difficult to back in a trailer. Otherwise, wade lake is great.

There are way too many inconsiderate people. Went 4x this summer. Every time I wished I wasn't there because of loud people. Went back only to see if it would change, but it didn't.
People are talking all night and / or snoring. Kids screaming all day every day. Babies crying every time. People are loud in the mornings, too. Shoreline just packed. People pee in the lake and their dogs pooping in it as well. It used to be super awesome. I think the day use fee should be $20 instead of$5. Do not go if you want privacy and quite. This year was way worse /packed/busy than any years past.

We reserved site #2 the second week of August. It was perfect for 2 trailers (the additional 1 paid for their 2 nights). and we loved the view. It was a hike to the lake, but well worth it. We left all our floating gear at the lake & no one bothered it. There were chipmunks. squirrels, a fox, gophers & deer in our campsite! We watched the meteor shower the night of the 15th & it was awesome to see up there because everything looks do close at Wade. The reservation system is a pain, but should be given to Montanans first, but has really helped eliminate the constant traffic through the campsites! The bathrooms were well supplied & cleaned & the road into Wade has been improved immensely! We have been camping at Wade Lake since 1969, there were a few cabins around the Lake where there are now campsites!!! We love it here & hope to return to it next summer.

Do not stay at site number 10....I didn't. I left because it was so close to the site next to it with 10 kids and a Hugh RV with generator.
