What Guests Are Saying
Wade Lake is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with stunning scenery, clear water, and a family-friendly atmosphere. While the sites can be crowded and small, many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the recreational opportunities available, such as paddleboarding. Some campers noted issues with noise from construction and nearby sites, yet overall, it remains a popular destination for nature lovers seeking a pleasant getaway.

Beautiful lake and campground. But nowhere on the reservation form mentioned construction of all new vault toilets in the campground. I'm sure they were very much needed, but we would have chosen a different time to visit had we known about the construction. Very noisy from 7 am to around 7 pm. We had reserved for 2 nights but chose to leave early after just 1 night.

Lovely little lake, campground was generally quiet, though there’s a fair amount of traffic coming and going around the lake. Good amount of shoreline, mostly all small, rounded rocks, so bring some cushion for your bottoms! Site 9 is very close to site 10, with no trees or bushes to provide privacy - would be a great pair of sites for families/friends to book together. The site is also right along the road to the lake, which makes for a short walk but a bit busier of a location.

Incredibly hard to reserve a site and the weekend we're there, its a full construction zone. Heavy machinery, trucks in and out of campsites doing 5 point turns, terrible noise, and you get the picture. I am all for updates and improvements to the campsite. But close it for 1/2 the season and do the entire campsite all at once without interrupting a campers experience. The workers were actually great and really hustled to get the project done on Saturday, which we all SO appreciated. But whoever gave the OK to do work while campground is open should take their family out there to camp while the excavators are running. After making reservations 6 months out, it was a disappointing experience all around.

We loved Wade lake. Though we arrived on a Sunday it was quite busy with day use people. It was hard to tell what normal noise was as there was heavy equipment operating and installing brand new pit toilets. The road in was dirt but well maintained. The camp sites we stayed in (7 & 9) both had ample shade. No cell service and the host did not sell firewood.

Wade Lake is spectacular, and the campground is well-maintained. The restrooms were clean and well stocked thanks to a great camp host. For the amount of usage, the area is quite clean, but unfortunately there are always neglectful visitors who leave garbage or broken beach toys laying around. We loved paddle boarding both Wade and Cliff lakes. The small town of Ennis is a great place to stop for lunch.

Quiet and beautiful. The lashes are stunning. The road into the campground was a bit washed out but we made it in with our smaller camper.

The lake is great like usual, but this site is so close to another site that I would never recommend it to anyone. The spot for the tent is maybe 10 feet away from another site’s fire pit.
