About Rexford Bench

Rexford Bench Recreation Area is the most highly developed camp area within the Kootenai National Forest. Rexford Bench Campground has 54 sites, 30 are first come-first serve and 24 can be reserved. Kamloops Terrace has 20 sites and additional overflow parking. A high and low water boat ramp is available. A day use area with swimming beach completes this popular area. It is a popular destination for boating, fishing and swimming on Lake Koocanusa, and hiking in the surrounding forest. Beautiful sandstone formations can be viewed not far from the campground, and osprey and eagles can often be seen fishing in the reservoir.

Nice Site and close to the clean bathroom. However, remember there is NO tent camping in this RV only site.

Loved this campground. Friendly people, awesome camp hosts, extremely clean and very beautiful. Only downside is that the beach is not Sandy. Will definitely be back next year.

We loved this campsite!

The lake is a short walk away, the trailhead to get there is right next to this campsite.
Bathrooms remained very clean for the duration of our stay. Flushing toilets with a sink and lights was a first for us at a campsite! The parking was definitely more than enough for our SUV and 22ft camping trailer. Lots of trees and shade too. We had 2 hammocks up but there was definitely room for more.
