Too expensive for just a picnic spot. Hard to find.

A nice picnic site that you can reserve for very small groups. Perhaps 20-25 people is max, (although the website says that you can have up to 150 people, no way would they would fit, nor wood there be enough tables). There is very limited parking (14 car spaces and 1 Handicap spot and they are not all close to the picnic area). There is no reserved parking that comes with the picnic spot, so if you reserve on a July or August weekend, expect there to be no parking by about 11AM, as you are sharing parking with the public who are accessing the lake for day use. The green lawn space which is between the picnic area and the lake shore is not reservable and gets a lot of public use on the weekend. It provides great access to the swim area for your guests. There are plenty of bathrooms and trash receptacles close by. Easy access into picnic area for Handicapped guests. Plenty of shade. Reserved sign and name sign nicely posted at picnic area entrance on day of event by Recreation office staff. All in all a very nice place to reserve for an event. Thank you to the Rangers and Recreation office staff for making it available.
