The park is really nice. We enjoyed seeing all the whitetail deer running around in the evening. Everything was really clean including the showers which we used every night. I really like the fact that I can park my boat at the camp site. All the employees were very friendly and made us feel at home. We look forward to visiting again.

Great shaded and level spots. Well spaced from other campers. Loved the hiking trails and Lewis & Clark info & the Interpretive Center. Cell service is spotty and the address leads you to a road across from the fish hatchery. Signage & a local helped us to go down the road and find the campground, so just trust your instincts!

Clean grounds, restrooms and camp/trailer sites. Nice setting as well. Pleasant camp hosts/attendants made it a win.

Everything would have been much better if it hadn't been for the Powers to Be shutting down the campground about 10 days earlier than last year. All because idiots don't know how to prevent freezing pipes in the brand new restrooms

Drove from Mississippi to Montana for a hunting trip. Stayed in several campgrounds during the round trip, over 4000 miles. Downstream was the best I stayed at by far. The gentleman who checked me out was awesome. Wished I could have stayed there for a few days just to relax and enjoy the excellent campgrounds

James and Leslie were great hosts and it's a shame that the powers to be have changed the "rules". Do stuff on line and we'll get volunteers to do the work. The new shower's and restrooms are nice but an idiot designed them. They have no idea for camping bathrooms. 1) No shelves by the sinks, 2) No heat in the bathrooms, 3) The dividing wall is to narrow and the shower sprays where you have to sit and change, 4) No hooks or shelf where you change to keep your change of clothes. Probably missed something. Why did you close the campground on the 30th??? Because you didn't plan for the cold weather and let stuff freeze in the unheated area's. Duhhhh
