What Guests Are Saying
Eagle Creek Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful location near the Gardiner entrance to Yellowstone National Park, with spacious campsites and stunning views. This campground is in bear country, so there are precautions that have to be made. The campground is very clean and the bathrooms were nicer than I expected for being vault toilets. The two things that would have made my rating 5 stars instead of 4 would be water and somewhere to get rid of the trash. Otherwise it was a great campground and we enjoyed our stay.

The campground itself was fine. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of shade. It was extremely hot. This made the bathroom very hot as well. Overall, it was pretty quite. Just a bit more out of town than I would have liked.

It was easy to find, and our site had a tag with our name on it, so there wasn't any confusion about which site was ours. The area was nice and quiet, with a couple of beautiful hiking trails nearby. The pit toilet was very clean. It was pretty windy, and I later learned that the Gardiner area is one of the windiest areas in Montana, so you need to be prepared for some wind, but it wasn't so windy that it diminished the experience!

Great location for heading to Yellowstone. Nice quiet spot. Pit toilet was clean. Road up was a little steep and washboarded.
