What Guests Are Saying
Chinamen's Campground features beautiful scenery and great lake access, making it a pleasant getaway for families. Many reviewers appreciated the friendly and helpful camp host, though some expressed concerns about her availability and enforcement of rules. While the campground has a clean environment and reasonable pricing, issues like trash, noisy neighbors, and small campsite sizes were noted, suggesting a need for improvements in management and facilities.

This is a perfect campground for little kids and adults as well! We had five sites that were easily accessible. The host was excellent and very personable. First time stayeng there, but not the last!!

Campground was very clean. We were surprised at the number of day-users but that didn’t impact our stay. We were out in our kayaks most of the day.

Only thing I didn't like was our campsite had no shade. Everything else was perfect!

Beautiful lake access, decent campsite size, and clean bathrooms! The only thing that I didn’t love was the entrance because it’s right in front of a big turn. Obviously there’s no controlling that but just be aware! I would definitely stay here again. Probably in a site closer to the lake if possible but the entire campsite is an easy walk to the beach area.

Campsites in the lower numbers are closest to the lake. Be sure to bring swimsuits, kayaks, beach chairs and inflatable toys. Also bring shade shelters as there are no trees near the water's edge.

We always enjoy our camping trip to Chinamen’s. It’s been a yearly event for almost 10 years. We are close enough to walk to the lake, but we don’t get the traffic.
The only drawback are the restrooms which continue to be beyond smelly. I am used to outhouses; and sometimes they are not very fresh, but you have to try to hold your breath to use these. You can almost taste the odor.

Excellent location, scenic sites. Some sites are very spacious but a few have almost no room even for a small 1-2 person tent and a car top tent would be the only option in this case. Fortunately I was able to change sites once I arrived or it would not have been a great exprience. Overall great campground, will return.
