What Guests Are Saying
Chinamen's Campground features beautiful scenery and great lake access, making it a pleasant getaway for families. Many reviewers appreciated the friendly and helpful camp host, though some expressed concerns about her availability and enforcement of rules. While the campground has a clean environment and reasonable pricing, issues like trash, noisy neighbors, and small campsite sizes were noted, suggesting a need for improvements in management and facilities.

Please DO NOT bring the camp host back next year!! They are quite lazy. Bathrooms are usually not horrible and this 4 days we were camping, they were absolutely disgusting! Come on, it was Labor Day weekend! You don't EVER see the woman, just the man and VERY RARELY!! They are not available like camp hosts should be and they are clearly not peoply people. They don't welcome you (like the guy previously did). Our fire pit was completely full of ash and there was trash under the picnic table...Pretty sure all that should have been taken care of before we got there so we could enjoy our camping spot, but we had to clean it up before we could.

My wife and I stopped in at this camp site late at night. Step up our starlink and reserved a spot. Was very quiet and clean. Very impressed with Montanas camping. The only thing I would like to see is being able to use cash still. Thank you. Hope to visit again in the future and enjoy the lake!

Chinamen’s campground is an excellent place for the whole family! It’s very clean both on the grounds and in the bathrooms! The view are stunning, the cost is very reasonable, and it is great for simply swimming or boating! I highly recommend staying there! If I had any complaints it would be that there is only one handicapped spot with a cement pad. I hope that they put in one or two more but it is a small campground so that may be very difficult for them to do.

Nice location and the camp host was wonderful and helpful. The camp spots are very close together though which means you hear your neighbors all the time. Overall it was good for a one night location but not for the whole weekend.

Love this place so much. It's usually so quiet and peaceful except for a few days ago, loud noisy neighbors with 2 big neglected dogs with incessant barking moved in. It is most annoying. the campground host warned them many times but she finally told them they cannot leave the dogs unattended. they are much better now.
The campground host it great. So friendly and very accommodating. We enjoy her alot.

The site is smaller than the website says. We did not fit, use caution if you have a trailer at all.

Campsite 26 at chinamen is dog***t! There's a hill running right through the middle of it and no truly flat area for your tent. Have fun sleeping on a slope with rocks and a hole underneath your tent! The picnic table there is also awful. Every other camp site had a fairly new and solid bench but this sight has a worn down piece of garbage. Also, nobody cleaned the site before I arrived. There were a comical number of pinecones littering the site. I don't mean just a few. It was ridiculous. Fix this campsite and give it proper service.
