Normally I love Hellgate. It is my favorite campground. However, this trip was miserable. Since this is a campground, it should be maintained, so that all areas are useful. I understand it is outdoors and there are bugs and other critters. However, the overgrowth of the bushes has become so bad, that they house thousands and thousands of mosquitos. We literally could not use the beach area or even go out of our campers to use the camp area that we paid for because of the amount of mosquitos, we were bitten uncountable times. They used to maintain the bushes and overgrowth, so that people could enjoy the campground without losing a pint of blood to pests. If people are paying for a spot, it should be useable. Please consider doing so again, or we will have to find another favorite spot.

This was a last minute reservation on our way to Bozeman when the kids were ready to call it quits. It was quiet and clean!
