Clean, well run campground. Lots of space between sites , a very enjoyable time. Looking forward to going there again.

Nice wooded spot along the stream on east end of campground, hosts were super friendly, plenty of fire wood, boat landing wasnt very busy. A great long weekend trip!

The new camp host was always bothering us and our other friends camping as well as other camped next to us. We have never done anything wrong. We have camped at hellgate for more than 30 years. The people next to us couldn’t have two tents for their two teenage kids(boy&girl). I know this is what the rule says but in all the years I have been there I have not had to comply with the one tent rule. Sometimes both my daughters bring a couple friends camping and require two small tents. This is a sure way to take fun family time out of camping. The world is already too full of people being cops. We don’t need anymore. Let families have quality time and fun. Tell your camp hosts to relax and leave people alone. People want to be left alone and not bothered constantly. She was complaining about visitors coming for the day and parking in the camp spot who they were visiting. How about they spend more time cleaning the bathrooms and keeping the riff raf from stealing everyone’s stuff rather than running off people who are good returning customers. It’s hard enough to find spots for camping as it is.

Disclaimer: I went on Memorial Day weekend, so naturally the place was a madhouse.
Bad: It is RV hell and I bet it's like that for most of the summer. I have a tent, so I was a little out of place. The noise did not stop until well past dark - people yelling, generators, etc. There was someone poaching my spot and I had to go get the camp host to regulate (which she promptly did).
Good: you get your own slice of waterfront beach if you're in loops A, B, or C. The bathrooms are clean.

Beautiful location! Campsites are well maintained and comfortable. The view is amazing. There are 3 campground hosts and although they are polite, they are very “present” and stop by OFTEN. Do not camp here if you want privacy or to get away from
It all.
