The area is beautiful but our site was covered in ants. If you stood in 1 place for a few seconds you'd have ants crawling all over your foot. I would go back but definitely not book the same site.

I made reservations on line, when we showed up with 2 vehicles 6 kids, camper, jet ski - there was someone double booked in our space. We were told our reservation was for the following night by the only camp host overseeing the whole thing. When we got back we double checked our paperwork and our paperwork was correct with what we had booked. This exact same thing happened to us on the 3 attempts we made to come to the campground last year. it was a big joke. Campground was in disarray. No rules were being followed, camp host could hardly be found. It was not safe to be in the campground anymore, their was 4-wheelers, motorbikes racing through the loops and nothing was being done about it. We are now trying to find other places to go. This camp ground was at its best, when u had Jerry Freeman and his wife Bev were camp host. Who ever is running or in charge of the camp ground now has totally recked the place. We had went to this campground for the past 17 years, and are now no longer considering going because it is an unsafe place to bring a family. If the BLM really cares about this place, they would try to get Jerry and his wife back to help run things.
