What Guests Are Saying
Moose Creek Cabin is a charming and well-maintained space that offers a rustic experience, complete with a wood stove and plenty of room for families. Guests appreciated its cleanliness, historical charm, and convenient location near trails and town. While some minor plumbing issues and proximity to a busy road were noted, the overall experience was enjoyable, especially in the peaceful setting.

Great Lil cabin! Had a wonderful time. The place was very clean and ready when we arrived. The bathroom was stocked and had plenty of wood for fires! One of our favorite places to stay.

Moose Creek is a unique and exciting experience that we were lucky to have the opportunity to enjoy. I hope that this continues to be an option for the general public. The cabin was thoughtfully stocked. The wood stove cranked out heat to warm the front rooms in less than 20 minutes. We did have a mouse friend join us so I recommend sealed food stores when you go. Can't wait to go again!

Stayed several times (kind of a perennial favorite because of easy access year round). Cabin is always neat and tidy, so kudos to FS staff! This visit the joint was especially clean and the outhouse had been painted. As far as FS cabins go, Moose Creek is really the lap of luxury: electricity, propane stove, all the amenities/dishes, games, books, tons of furniture ... shoot, it even has a microwave and coffee pot! Just bring your bedding, some food, and some water. It's beside a road, but traffic is barely noticeable and infrequent. For me, accessibility is a major plus. Quiet, tucked up in the mountains, yet about 15 minutes from town. The *only* thing I wish was that the perimeter were fully fenced (and that's me being super picky!). We bring doggos (one who is a runner), and I worry about the pups being able to get out in the road. We just use a chain, so no biggie, though I cannot speak for my dog :) I understand that the gap in the fence is to bring in the wood truck. Now I feel silly for even mentioning it. Ok, I take it back. This cabin is FIVE STARS.

This ended up being a great halfway stop from Yellowstone and Glacier. It was really peaceful here. Not sure what happens at night though. I don’t know if people were out looking for wildlife but there were quite a few cars that stopped and turned around at the cabin and went back the way they came. Other than that and the funky looking bees, this place was great. The cabin was clean and roomy. Loved the old kitchen stove!

It's a very nice cabin in a beautiful setting. The weather was nice, too. It could have been cleaner when we got there, though.
