The hosts were great, but the campground should come with a disclaimer that it is only feet from Hwy 2 and the railroad tracks (and that trains run constantly).

The Devil Creek campground is as close as you can get to Glacier National Park without staying inside the park and provides great options and easy access to hiking, boat tours, etc. from both the East Glacier and West Glacier gateways.
$6 for firewood. Beautiful views and close enough to the railroad that you will hear the freight trains coming through (about once an hour through the night).
Very friendly campground hosts. Spotless pit toilets.

We stayed here during a trip to glacier. It was incredibly refreshing to stay in a more private feeling campsite away from the crowds.

- Check-out time is 11:00 A.M. and check-in time is 2:00 P.M.

- Unreserved sites appear as first-come, first-served; check availability by calling.
Safety & rules
- Reserved sites must be occupied by check-out time or they will be forfeited.
Site types & loops
- Reservation holders must occupy their reserved site and cannot switch to a walk-up site.
Vehicles & parking
- Each site allows 2 vehicles; the first is included, with a $5 fee for an extra vehicle per night.

- Drop camping requires a Forest Service permit; rental camper delivery is not allowed.
