Great location. The campground was clean and close to the reservoir. A lot of trees and shade. Does take a bit of driving to get from the dam to the campground.

The campground is a 35-40 minute drive south from the main road (US Highway 2). The last mile is down a heavily rutted and pot holed dirt road. Hungry Horse reservoir is next to campground for swimming and boating. Campground hosts were super friendly and helpful.

Campsite was great -- quiet, shady, near the water, level, all that we hoped for. And the campground host was excellent. He was friendly and accessible, offered assistance, and was otherwise respectful and discreet. I'd definitely come back.

Great small camp ground on the lake. It’s out there for sure. Pit toilets are about it for facilities but we’re clean and dry. Dan the Host is awesome and gave us some good info about the area. Be sure to stop for breakfast at Carolyn’s for breakfast while you are in the area.

This campground is amazing! The drive across the Hungry Horse Reservoir Dam and along the lake shore to access the site is a wonderful experience in itself (though maybe not the best for those scared of heights). We really enjoyed our stay- the sites are well kept and relatively private. Easy access to the reservoir and sweeping mountain views. Last, the hosts are wonderful- kind, cheerful, and helpful! We felt secure and cared for during our stay :)

Beautiful, peaceful, and quiet location and site overlooking the water. Wild flowers were in full bloom. Easy access to water to swim or put in your boats /yaks. Camp hosts were friendly, informative, and so on top of things! Be prepared for a bumpy road leading down to Lid - but well worth it! Definitely planning to go back and spend more time!
