The campsite was in great condition, well maintained, with a useful fire ring. The location is conveniently located to glacier NP, but also a beautiful location by itself.

This campground was great! Close access to swimming in the reservoir which was a dream and we saw a bald eagle overhead. People have definitely domesticated and fed a couple of young bucks in the area though... as they walked right up to our picnic table and nosed through our food even while we were standing right next to the table.

What a beautiful, remote, quiet, peaceful relaxing campsite! If you want seclusion with no outside access to this crazy world we live in, this is it! Nestled amongst tall trees, greenery and a flowing river, the smell of pine in the air is amazing. One downside, we were there at the end of May and the mosquitoes were pretty bad. We managed it well with citronella candles and bug spray. We will definitely be returning!

The site itself was nice and fairly level. However, if your coming in from the north. The road is very curved with blind corners and about 12 miles from the main road. Camp signage is very easy to miss, so keep from eyes peeled. The short road in the campground had large potholes. Cell Verizon cell service was nil. If you like seclusion this sites for you.

Turn off U.S. Highway 2 at milepost 144 and follow the West Side Hungry Horse Reservoir (Forest Road #895) across the Hungry Horse Dam. The campground is 6.5 miles south of the Dam. The road is paved to the site.
