Great camping on Hungry Horse Reservoir! We have been to this area a couple of times and have enjoyed each visit!

Our campsite was not well designed for tent use. The campground host tried to tell us we couldn't have two vehicles.

Our site (14) was among some cut timber so the atmosphere was a little weird. However, it was a large site with multiple options for tent placement. Great fire ring/picnic area, and an indirect but short jaunt through woods to water. I made a note that site 11 looks like "great water access through the woods" so maybe if we return, we'll aim for that one. The "water" is Hungry Horse Reservoir and it is enormous. Bring boat.

Nice campground. Super location right next to a clear and "cold" lake. Staff was awesome and we could even collect some birch wood that was laying around to make campfire. I would go there again and even longer than just one night.
