Emery Bay Campground

Loved this campground, fantastic scenery, paddling and good camp sites. The only down side is the heavily rutted road to get there. We'd definitely return (but tie everything down!).

Beautiful camground by the lake. Camp hosts were wonderful and offered firewood every night which can be a lifesaver. Bathrooms and camp areas were very clean and upkept. Convenient 15 minute drive to West Glacier NP entrance and nice towns nearby if you need cell service or groceries. Only complaint was noisy neighbors, but it was memorial day weekend, which definitely attracted a rowdy crowd of campers.

Both toilets were closed at the same time

The camp host where awesome to work with when we thought we would have extend our stay. When we checked in they came by later to see if there was anything we needed when we said fire wood they said they had us covered there and bought it to us. The campground is very clean and the restrooms are the cleanest we have ever seen in a campground of this type would diffidently go back.

This is definitely some of the more primitive type of camping than many national parks, but that's what I LOVED about it. The pit toilets were clean, the campsites well-kept, and it was right close to the bay, which was absolutely lovely. We felt like we had the place to ourselves--just us and nature.

Also , the camp hosts were FANTASTIC! They took the time to help out when we didn't know we needed to have a reservation to get into Glacier, and how to deal with it. They also offered firewood, help lighting it (it was raining), and addressed our every need with professionalism and a positive attitude. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

It really is a pretty location and the campsites are generally very nice and well spaced out...and private. As other reviewers have written...the day use people are quite loud (preteens on jet skis, four wheel vehicles racing through the narrow dirt campground roads, screaming kids pulled on inner tubes with speed and pontoons boats and the like). This really places a burden on the peace of this wonderful setting. Hosts were great.

Roomy sites, easy to maneuver, quiet campground Only knocks would be more dust due to unpaved roads and boat ramp is a bit steeper than most.

Emery Bay campground is a lovely place. The sites are spread out, there is little night time traffic, the lake is close by and even has loons! We stayed in site #4, which is right next to the boat ramp and easy to walk down to the lake after supper to enjoy the sunset. After the busy-ness of Glacier National Park, this NFS campground is a welcome bit of peace and quiet.

Exactly what we love about camping. Plenty of space between sites; nestled in the trees yet close enough to the water for a gorgeous camping experience.

Such an amazing campground with private sites. The lake is so beautiful and wonderful to swim in and enjoy!
