Kings Hill Cabin offers a cozy and comfortable stay in a beautiful setting, with easy access to hiking and snowmobile trails. It's a great base camp location to explore the Belts. The cabin has a decent refrigerator and the bedroom is a separate room.
The flies were apocalyptic in July but only (and oddly) outside from noon to 6 PM. The hordes graciously did not enter the cabin but be prepared to be kinda freaked out by the buzzing.

It's a nice little cabin and we enjoyed the proximity to O'Brien, Deadman, and the Showdown ski area. But there were a few problems with the cabin. But water was leaking onto one of the bunk beds. We moved the bed but one of the mattresses got wet. There is also a poop pyramid forming in the outhouse which is close to the top. It needs to be knocked over or cleaned out. The other concern is that a large ice wall is forming in the back. If it gets warm, I think water will flow into the cabin.

From Great Falls, travel aproximately 23 mi east on Highway 87/89 and turn right (south) at the rest area/weigh station just past Belt, onto U.S. Highway 89 toward Monarch and Neihart. Drive approximately 50 mi to Kings Hill Pass. The cabin is on the left side of the highway just before the pass (within 300 ft of the pass).
The total distance form Great Falls is about 75 mi. During the summer season, visitors can drive directly to the cabin. During the winter season, there is parking on the wide spot along the highway, which is plowed.
From White Sulphur Springs, go about 3 mi east on Highway 12 and turn left (north) onto Highway 89. The cabin is just past Kings Hill Pass on the right. Total distance from White Sulphur Springs is 28.5 mi.
