Clean Cabin. The road had lots of deadfall across it and had to walk in last 0.5 miles.
Wood stove works great, and there is plenty of wood in the wood shed.

The cabin was in good shape the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of amenities for a basic cabin in the woods. A short walk to the creek where the fishing was good. For a Forest Service cabin out in the sticks it was a good time. Itβll keep you dry and warm for sure. Bring wood water and food.

I've been wanting to stay here for years! Awesome cabin, rough getting up there for the younger generation. Pulled up our pop-up with no problem. Bring a chainsaw!

Was exactly what we were hoping for with a beautiful scenery, running creek within 100 feet and silence. The Cabin was more impressive than expected, with all the cleaning materials and kitchen ware one needs. One of us attempted to chop all the wood in the shed and only got about halfway before we left. The Cabin has clearly been taken care of with a little TLC and was greatly appreciated. This place is not for people who do not care and respect the wilderness. Make sure to have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle with come clearance when going out to this spot. We took a Yukon, Tundra and VW SUV, the only one to not bottom out on a boulder for a split second was the Tundra (2013 platinum). I would not be drive anything besides a 4x4 truck out to this spot unless you have decent off roading experience. Fantastic spot, cannot say enough about it and the people who keep it in pristine condition.

We were unable to make it to the cabin due to the condition of the road. The last 4-5 miles were impassable for anything but an ATV or off road vehicle. Per the listing we tried to go with 4 wheel drive, high clearance vehicles, but the road narrows significantly and is extremely steep and rocky. I would not recommend that anyone without off roading gear and experience attempt to reach this cabin.

all scores on 1 being not good to 5 great :
Wildlife 3 there is a porcupine every night on the cabin chewing the decking. Saw 3 deer
Cabin itself 4.5 windows are too small very dark, no screen door and window screens have holes. Interior Cabin amenities 5 were great
Surroundings area 5 very nice
Outhouse 1 disgusting, dirty and smelly
Wood supply 5 great and we added to pile
Road 2 when we called and asked road conditions we should have been told that trailer travel to the cabin was virtually non existent. we had to unload bike and drop trailer part way up.
Lakes access 2 when we called and asked we were not told high clearance bikes would be required to get anywhere. Very disappointed in trails that were side by side friendly.
Signage 2 there is very poor and very little signage. Historic map landmarks are not even marked.
I will not recommend or return to this cabin due to lack of access by standard side by side.

The cabin was perfect! For a 3 day girls vaccation with the horses we had a blast. Pozega lake was breath taking but I would not recommend taking any motorized vehicles up that trail. Creek was perfect and even caught some brook trout. Everything was clean and in great working order. Will be going back again.

For additional information about accessing the cabin, please call (406) 859-3211.
From Missoula, travel East on Interstate 90 to the Racetrack exit #195. Turn right (west) onto Galen and drive about 1 mile, then turn Right (North) onto Willow Cr Rd.
