What Guests Are Saying
Cascade Campground offers a spacious and clean environment, with helpful camp hosts and a quiet, remote setting perfect for relaxation and hiking. While the parking pads can be shallow and the access road rough, the overall experience is positive, highlighted by the cleanliness of the facilities and the natural beauty surrounding the area. Some guests noted issues with the water pump and site size descriptions, but these did not significantly detract from their enjoyment.

Can't say enough about camp host Rhonda. She contacted me to let me know my camp site was flooded and had already moved us into another spot closer to town so I didn't have to drag camper up rough road. Also consolidated my reservation into one site rather than 2 different sites. Beautiful area, well kept grounds. Thanks, Rhonda! :)

Beautiful setting. As the campground is currently (2023) a number of the sites have water issues. Our initially reserved site (24) had inches of running water all across the parking pad and through the site. It was raining when we arrived, but water was still flowing there 36 hours after the rain stopped. Hosts were gracious and allowed us to switch to an open site with a dry parking pad. Swiching was very limited because all reservable sites were booked. Only one FF site was still available for us to take. Our new site (29) had a dry parking pad, but running water through the fire ring and all under the picnic table. The underside of the fire ring was actually rusted away so this water was not new or temporary. We reserved a hotel in SD and moved on after 2 nights of our 4 night reservation.
Campground hosts (stationed at Basin campground) were friendly and helpful. Pit toilets were clean and well maintained.
This is a beautiful location with the river rushing past the campground. I hope the forest service does what terraforming is necessary to route the water around the campground rather than through it. If you are planning to reserve here it would be best if you know the campground so you can choose a dry site.

The road getting to the campground was horrible. Didn’t want my camper all beat up, so didn’t use the reservation.
