What Guests Are Saying
Cascade campground offers a spacious, quiet, and clean environment, with helpful camp hosts and plenty of trees providing privacy between sites. While the gravel road can be rough, the overall experience is enhanced by beautiful natural surroundings and close proximity to hiking opportunities. Some minor issues with site descriptions and water access were noted, but visitors express a strong desire to return.

Camp host was great. Bathrooms and sites were immaculate. Not many bugs. Clouds and weather seemed to miss pieces of the campground, so mild wind and rain.
Cons - The road to and from the camp site is HORRIFIC! I would honestly not recommend anyone without a 4x4 vehicle to travel that road.
Pros - No one stays here! It's glorious and with access to SO MANY HIKES! It's incredible. We'll definitely be coming back for the 2021 season!

Cascade campground was beautiful with nice, spacious sites, but what made the experience 5 stars was the excellent campground host, Richard. The entire grounds including the restrooms were always immaculate, and Richard was a blast to talk to as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful, clean campsite with one of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever used. Every site has it's own bear box and our site felt pretty secluded from everyone else. Really enjoyed my time there.

Great destination. Great views and always the beautiful vigorous crystal clear cold stream to listen to day and night. Another wonder of the world.

Cleanest restrooms ever at a campground. It was quiet even on Saturday night.

This remote campground mostly escaped the 2008 fire that wiped out the trees everywhere else. Where it is open, the little trees are growing up quickly. Those campsites have incredible views! But the wind is fierce, especially at night (it can get quite chilly at night!), and will blow your awning right off. Richard, the camp host, was friendly, and helpful when we needed to repair our awning.
The hike up the West Fork trail on up the road is well worth doing. Beware, there is NO shade since the fire took out all the trees, wear your sunscreen. Being able to see the geography of the landscape more than makes up for it. Go out as far as you feel like it and return. Steadily up, but an easy grade.
