We were able to attend the exhibit on bats!
Super interesting and fun. A little dated on the presentation but way cool.
Maybe spray for mosquitos?
And can someone get rid of the cactus around the campground !
Hard on dogs and little kids in the lawn areas.
Always a great place to camp.

We loved site 10 along the river. It’s in the trees but there is some open area for the solar to recharge. We fished Rock Creek in the campground and caught some rainbows. Beautiful area and relaxing campground!
We ate at the Carbon County steakhouse in Red Lodge - wonderful steaks and food. Also, stopped at Cattail bakery for delicious pastries.
We hope to return next year!

We absolutely loved this campground! The river is close to the site. There was a moose with twin babies on our site! Peaceful, clean campground. However, No water fill - had to pump water into our tank. No dump station, but a gas station in town provided free dumping. (Convenience store/gas at the roundabout.

The freshwater dispenser resembles a "well pump design" I used on the farm as a child. Not very efficient, but I got some good exercise pumping while my spouse held the spring loaded shutoff valve. The creek was beautiful, but we were not able to get a campsite that was near it. We were in the lower sites and our site was very close to the vault toilets which gave us a good ammonia whiff now and then.
If I were to return, it would only be if I was able to reserve a spot on the creek side of sites 1-15. That would be a big improvement over what where we camped.

If you are looking for a camping spot that is private and quiet, then campsite 26 is NOT for you. The campground is lovely, but this particular camping spot was not ideal for us. It is located at the beginning and inside of the loop, meaning anytime a car drives through, they’ll go by this spot when entering and exiting the loop. The water pump is also right next to the camp spot, so there is even less privacy with the amount of people walking over water.
Pros: right next to the outhouses
Cons: right next to the outhouses
If none of that bothers you, then the campsite would be great. But if you’re wanting privacy and the ability to relax and keep to yourself, then I’d avoid campsite 26

Large and private campsites, bathrooms cleaned daily. Our site was by the river which acted as a white noise machine, we liked this but if you don't want river noise, pick a different site at the campground. We were in the 1-15 site loop of the campground.

We had a wonderful site next to Rock Creek. The campers next to us were a no-show, so we had a wonderful quiet & relaxing 3 days!
